Dear All ,
I have installed Oracle 8i Personal Edition and the good thing is that it is working very fine.
I created the new user 'sales' and worked on that .
But the problem starts when I insatlled Developer Suite(R2.1) and connects to the the database but I am not able to?
Please suggest? I have two TNSNAMES.ORA file one is at
c:\orawin95\network\admin ---- this is not working
d:\oracle\ora81\network\admin --- this is working

Dear Ashutosh Trivedi
if your data base is connecting then you should go to Databse's admin folder and copy all .Ora file in Developer's Admin folder
suppose you installed 8i in this folder
d:\oracle\
Please go to d:\oracle\net80\admin
here you find 3 or 4 .ora files. select all .ORA files and press ctrl+C
then go to developer folder
like:-
c:\orawin95\net80\admin
here you find also these .ORA files. Paste here and overwrite these files
. Now you can connect .

Dear,
I tried as you said but it did not worked . I am explaining the problem again
I have tnsnames.ora and listener at D:\Oracle\Network\admin
I copied the above two file at
C:\ORAWIN95\NETWORK\ADMIN
and when i am connecting to Oracle the message coming as
ERROR: ORA-03121: no interface driver connected - function not performed
I am not able to understand where the problem is ???
