how to get database item property in forms 6i [message #166268]

Hi all,
PL.solve my problem, how to get database item yes/no property
at runtime, i am searching the get_item_property, but i can't get it, is anybody know about that.
Pl.help me.

You can't 'get' that information. You, as the coder, need to know whether you want to treat a forms item as a database field or not. What are you trying to do?

Try using COLUMN_NAME in the GET_ITEM_PROPERTY function. If it returns NULL, then it's probably not a database item.

I am going to create a log of Documentation of Forms, so that i want to know which field is Databse Field or Temp.Field or only Display field.

Hi,
In case of using Column_name property to get database item Yes/No property, every field have some column_name in each field but database item property will be Yes/No, so how should i go with column_name property.

Have a look at 'FormsTool' at http://www.orcl-toolbox.com and see if they can see the difference between the various types of fields.
