Hi,

i am getting the following error when i am trying to close a form and going to previous position.

"there was a failure in the forms server during startup"

please can any one tell me because of which reason i am getting this error.

i am geting this error when i am trying to exit form & go to previous position.

Okay what version of forms? Are you using a DS or AS?

Hi David,

forms9i & reports 9i.
i am working for one client. i am not getting any errors when
i run that form in my system.its giving error in client system.
( same versions)
please can u sujjest me that which information the client has
to check.

Make sure that the environment variables 'TMP' and 'TEMP' are defined on your client's machine and that the user who is running the application has write privileges to the areas referenced by them.

You can check them on your machine so that you can compare the two machines.
